Teachers can update student details such as names and classroom information directly from the Student Roster. This article explains how to edit student records and manage classroom information accurately.
Log in to your teacher account using your registered email address and password.

Click the student roster.

Find the student whose details you want to update and click the Edit (pen) icon next to the student’s name.

This will allow you to change the following settings for individual students.
Change the name:

Teachers can update or correct a student’s name directly from the editable field.
- After making the changes, click Save to update the profile.
Change the grade level:

Teachers can adjust the grade level for individual students.
Select the correct grade from the dropdown and click Save to apply the changes.
Change the language:

Choose the preferred option from the dropdown: English, Spanish, English (UK), or English (AU).
Click Save to apply the changes.
Change the student avatar:
- Teachers cannot change a student’s avatar.

Students can customize their avatar only from their own dashboard, and the updated avatar will automatically reflect in the teacher’s view.
Still seeing the old avatar in the student dashboard? Try a quick fix!
- If the updated avatar does not appear, try adjusting your browser zoom or screen resolution to 80% –100%.
- For the best experience, we recommend using the SplashLearn application for this functionality, as avatar customization is not supported on tablet browsers.
Remember:
The option to disable avatars on the student dashboard is currently not available.
