Teachers can assign Math and English activities directly from the Curriculum section by selecting skills, choosing students, and setting optional due dates. Assignments can be given across grade levels and are accessible from students’ “From Your Teacher” section after login.
Assign Math Assignments:
- Log in to your teacher's account with your registered email address and password.
-
Click on Curriculum > Math.
- Select a content group for the practice assignment, then choose the skills you’d like to assign to your students. You can select multiple skills at once.
-
When you’re ready, click the Assign button to move to the next step. Before finalizing, you’ll also have the option to preview the assignment.
-
While assigning the assignment, you can set a due date. The assignment will be automatically marked as complete on the selected date or due date.
-
Select your students and click Assign. The assignments will be given to students, who can access them under the From Your Teacher tab.
Keep in mind:
Assignments come with a default 7-day due date, which you can adjust to less or more time based on your needs.
- Assignments can be given across different grade levels. Based on your needs, simply select the appropriate grade from the drop-down menu before assigning the activity.
- Co-teachers can also assign, track, and reassign assignments, making it easy to support student progress alongside the primary teacher.
- Assignments in SplashLearn can only be created and accessed within the SplashLearn platform. Teachers aren’t able to post assignments on external platforms like Google Classroom or Clever, and students must log in to SplashLearn to view and complete them.
Assign Reading/English/ELA Assignments:
-
Click on Curriculum > English.
-
Browse assignments by content, then click Assign to give them to the students.
-
Select your students on the next page and set a due date for the students to complete the assignments.
Why are students unable to view the assignment in the From Your Teacher tab?
If students aren’t able to see their assignments, a few quick checks can usually help resolve the issue:
Assignment due date: The assignment will be automatically marked as complete on the selected date or due date.
Incorrect Classroom: Students may be logged into the wrong classroom. Make sure they’re in the correct class where the assignment was shared.
Home access is not enabled: If students try to view assignments after school hours, check if home access is enabled. If this is not the case, students would not be able to access assignments after school hours (3 PM local time).
Students added to the classroom after an assignment is assigned to the class won’t have access to it. Teachers can update the assignment to add or remove students at any time.
