Home Access allows students to continue learning on SplashLearn after school hours using a classroom-linked account. To enable Home Access, teachers must add parent email addresses and send invitations to families. Once parents complete setup, students can access teacher-assigned learning activities outside school hours.
Enable home access using parent email addresses:
If you have parents’ email addresses, this is the easiest option.
Log in to the teacher account with your registered email address and password.
-
Go to your Student Roster.
Enter or update the parent email address under the Parent emails column for each student.
-
Click “Invite” to send the Home Access invitation via email.
Parents can follow the email instructions to set up their child’s classroom-linked account.
Enable home access without parent email addresses:
No parent emails? No problem! You still have two easy options.
Share printed home access invitation letters
-
Click Download Invite to download the Parent Letters.
Print the letters.
Share them physically with parents.
Share the home access invite link
-
Click Copy Invite and share the link on any platform you use to communicate with parents.
Understanding home access status:
Keeping track of Home Access is easy once you know what each status means:
-
Not enabled yet: Home Access hasn’t been initiated for the student.
-
Send reminder: The invitation has been sent, but the setup is still pending. You can resend the invite using the same link.
-
Enabled: Home Access is successfully set up, and the student can learn outside school hours.
Can home access be disabled?
Yes, home access can be disabled; however, teachers cannot disable it. Just start a chat with our support team, and they’ll take care of it for you.
Keep in mind:
If you have entered an incorrect email address, then the parent email address cannot be edited once Home Access is marked as Enabled.
