Parents using ClassWallet ESA funds can purchase a SplashLearn subscription through the ClassWallet platform by submitting a purchase request. This guide walks you through the complete process step-by-step.
How does reimbursement work?
Before you submit your reimbursement request, here are a few quick things to check — we’ve got you:
You’ll need to be enrolled in an eligible ESA program and have an active ClassWallet account.
-
We currently support the following programs that use ClassWallet as a marketplace:
-
Have your payment proof ready
A receipt or invoice is required to complete your request.
-
Follow the reimbursement steps
- Purchase your SplashLearn subscription and download your invoice.
- You submit a reimbursement request through ClassWallet.
- ClassWallet reviews your request and transfers the funds back to your linked bank account.
- Learn more about how reimbursement works from the article here.
Keep in mind:
- You’ll need to link a bank account to receive reimbursements. ClassWallet uses this to send payments via ACH. It’s a one-time setup, and your financial details aren’t stored in their system.
- Hold on to your invoices. No receipt means no reimbursement. If you ever misplace your SplashLearn invoice, contact our customer support by clicking here.
- If your SplashLearn plan renews, you'll need to submit a new reimbursement claim each time.
- Reimbursements are reviewed by your ESA administrator—not SplashLearn. If something is delayed or denied, your best next step is to reach out to your program administrator or ClassWallet support.
Common issues and how to fix them?
- I paid for SplashLearn, but ClassWallet says SplashLearn isn't eligible.
Double-check that your specific ESA program includes SplashLearn as an approved vendor. The list of approved vendors can vary between programs, even within the same state. If you're unsure, contact ClassWallet support at help@classwallet.com or 877-969-5536 before subscribing.
- I can't find SplashLearn in the ClassWallet vendor list.
Make sure your account is fully set up and that you're searching specifically for "SplashLearn". If it still doesn't appear, contact ClassWallet support — they can confirm whether your account is configured for the right program and vendor list.
- My reimbursement was denied.
Check the denial notification for the specific reason. Common causes include a missing or unclear invoice, an incorrect vendor name, or an expense not covered under your program's guidelines. Fix the issue and resubmit — most denials are reversible.
- I haven't linked a bank account yet.
Go to your ClassWallet profile and add your bank account. Verification takes up to 2 business days. Until it's verified, your reimbursement cannot be paid out.
- My ESA purse is grayed out / restricted.
This is controlled by your state program, not ClassWallet. Contact your ESA administrator to understand what restrictions are in place and whether an exception can be made.
