SpringBoard 2026 is a 6-week nationwide Math and English challenge for elementary school classrooms in the United States. From April 1 to May 7, 2026, students earn points through weekly challenges, and top-performing classes can win cash prizes, subscriptions, and other rewards.
What is SpringBoard by SplashLearn?

SpringBoard is an annual nationwide Math and English contest for schools in the USA, designed to help students master the skills for their current grade level. During this 6-week contest, students earn points by participating in Math and English challenges on Wednesdays and Thursdays.
SpringBoard 2026 Prizes and Rewards:
Top-performing classes will not only build consistent learning habits but also have the chance to win exciting rewards, including subscriptions, vouchers, and more. At the end of 6 weeks, the top three scorers in the country will win $1,000, $800, and $500, respectively, for each subject, and if you land in the top three for your state, you'll earn a 3-month free subscription to keep your momentum going!
The top three prizes are awarded based on the overall ranking of all participating classes in each subject. Prize details are typically communicated via email by May 21st, within two weeks of the SpringBoard contest's conclusion.
When is SpringBoard 2026?
SpringBoard 2026 will run from 1 April 2026 to 7 May 2026, on Wednesdays (Math) and Thursdays (English).
Who can participate in SpringBoard?
SpringBoard is open to elementary school teachers who are residents of the USA. Entrants must have the authority to enter the contest on behalf of their elementary school, which must
(a) Be an elementary school physically located in one of the 50 United States or the District of Columbia with 50 or more enrolled students;
(b) Have one or more students in one classroom using SplashLearn.
Teachers must have a SplashLearn Classroom account before entering the contest. The contest and its official rules are void where prohibited by law and are subject to applicable laws. Entrants may not be members of any guild, union, or other organization that may prohibit them from participating in this contest and that would restrict, require due payment, or otherwise have the right to oppose such entrant's participation. Not open to employees or independent contractors, immediate family members (spouses, domestic partners, parents, grandparents, siblings, children, and grandchildren) or those living in the same household of employees or independent contractors of SplashLearn, any entity involved in any aspect of the contest (including funding, judging or administration), advertising agencies, and each of their respective parents, subsidiaries, affiliates, advisors, or advertising/promotion agencies.
Where does SpringBoard take place?
Online. To participate, you only need a SplashLearn Classroom account and an internet connection! Once you set up this account, your students can log into SplashLearn and start working on their Math and English skills. All of the work during the contest period will count towards your progress on SplashLearn.
What devices can I use to access SplashLearn content?
All teachers who have a registered SplashLearn Classroom account can participate in this contest. You can use any Computer, Chromebook, Tablet, or Mobile device to access SplashLearn.
How are the points calculated?
Here are the essential details on how students' scores contribute to the SpringBoard contest on SplashLearn:
Included Scores: Math and English weekly challenges from 1 April 2026 to 7 May 2026.
Class Total Calculation: Winners in each subject of 6 weeks challenge are decided using the sum of your class’s best 4 weekly scores. Each week’s class score is based on the average score of participating students, with an added completion bonus as more students finish the challenge.
SpringBoard scoring calculation:
Math and English scores are calculated separately.
1. Core Points:
Student Score is the sum of points earned from:
- Each correct answer is based on points
- 3 correct answer streak
- 5 correct answer streak
- Perfect Score (all answers correct)
- Fast Answer (answered within 10 seconds)
Class Score is the average score across all students who have participated in the challenge.
2. Extra Points:
The class participation bonus is only awarded for classes with strength ≥ 10.
An additional +250 points are awarded for each challenge when the percentage of students from your class who complete the challenge reaches the following milestones:
- 25% of students complete the challenge: Class score +250 points
- 50% of students complete the challenge: Class score +500 points
- 75% of students complete the challenge: Class score +750 points
- 100% of students complete the challenge: Class score +1000 points
3. Final Score:
Your class's final SpringBoard 2026 score is the sum of your best 4 weeks across the contest period.
Remember:
Student additions and deletions will affect the score because it is calculated based on class size.
