As a teacher, you get free access to SplashLearn to manage your class remotely
In many schools across the US, the virus spread is forcing disruptions in classroom learning. By signing up for a SplashLearn free-for-life teacher account, you can ensure that the learning for your students continues uninterrupted even if they are not able to join school.
Additionally, any practice assignment or assessment that you assign for homework to your students can be accessed & completed for free by the students from home using laptops, iPads, or smartphone devices.
How to enable remote access for my students?
To make sure that continuity in the classroom studies continues with the outbreak, we at SplashLearn have made sure that our entire suite of services is available @Home as well. The students can learn new skills, bridge their gaps and master the Learning Objectives which have been taught in the class, in the safety of their own homes.
You can easily set up your class for remote access using either of the ways (or a combination) listed below that works best for you and your students.
1. If you want students to access their remote assignments during school hours (8 am to 4 pm)
Students can log in from their home using the same Class Codes that you have assigned to them for usage in the class. The steps are provided below for your reference.
2. If you want students to access their remote assignments after school hours (4 pm to 8 am)
For access outside the regular school hours, you'd need to have parents sign-up for the free home access account. Following is a step-by-step guide to enable this
Step 1: Download parent invitation letters for your class and share it with your students to take home. In case your students are already on a break and you have your parent's e-mail addresses, you can add them here and the same will be shared with them digitally.
Step 2: The parents will get a unique teacher-code that they can use to sign-up
Step 3: You'd be able to see their sign-up status next to the student's name under the Home-Access section of the dashboard.
Step 4: Any assignment or assessment you assign will be visible in their SplashLearn dashboard under the section "My To-Do". You'd be able to monitor completion & performance reports in your dashboard just like in-class assignments.
How do I make sure that students are on track with their curriculum progress?
A few ideas on how you can use the SplashLearn for Home practice.
1. Reinforce the skills which you taught in your class
Get your students to practice the curriculum-aligned learning objectives and get detailed progress reports
2. Provide them with Year-end Test preparation -> Check out the largest nationwide year-end practice contest Springboard 2021 and enroll your classrooms
3. Create personalized learning plans -> The learning plan addresses the learning gaps for each student and helps them master those skills. Create one for each of your students.
Do I or my parents have to pay for this "Practice At-Home" service by SplashLearn?
The service is absolutely FREE for all Teachers. Whatever you assign to your class is FREE for your parents for home access as well. However, any game or activity not assigned by you will be behind a paywall, and parents will need to buy a subscription to unlock them.
