SplashLearn SpringBoard for Schools 2020 Official Rules
Please read these rules for the SplashLearn SpringBoard Contest for Schools 2020 ("Contest", “SpringBoard”). By participating in the contest acknowledge that you have read and agree to be bound by these Official Rules and the decisions of SplashLearn and the judges and that you satisfy all eligibility requirements.
What is SpringBoard by SplashLearn?
SplashLearn provides an interactive and engaging math practice for K-5 students. It has benefited over 30 Million kids across the USA and Canada.
SpringBoard is an annual nationwide math contest for schools in the USA and Canada designed to help students master the current grade skills. During this 10-week contest, points are earned by students by answering problems, answering correctly and mastering math skills in the process.
When is SpringBoard 2020?
SplashLearn SpringBoard 2020 will run from March 2nd, 8:00 am (UTC) to May 11th, 12:59 am (UTC).
Who can participate in SpringBoard?
SplashLearn SpringBoard is open to elementary school teachers who are the residents of the USA and Canada. Entrants must have the authority to enter the Contest on behalf of his/her elementary school which must
(a) Be an elementary school physically located in the 50 United States or the District of Columbia and Canada with 50 or more enrolled students;
(b) Should've 5 or more students in one classroom using SplashLearn.
Teachers must be registered for a SplashLearn Classroom account prior to entering the contest. The contest and its official rules are void where prohibited by law, and are subject to applicable laws. Entrants may not be members of any guild, union or other organization that may prohibit them from participating in this Contest and that would restrict, require due payment or otherwise have the right to oppose such entrant's participation in this Contest. Not open to employees or independent contractors, or immediate family members (spouses, domestic partners, parents, grandparents, siblings, children, and grandchildren) or those living in the same household of employees or independent contractors of SplashLearn, any entity involved in any aspect of the Contest (including funding, judging or administration), advertising agencies, and each of their respective parents, subsidiaries, affiliates, advisors, or advertising/promotion agencies.
Where does SpringBoard take place?
Online. All you need is a SplashLearn Classroom account and an internet connection to participate! Once you have this account set up, your students can log into SplashLearn and start working on their math skills. All of the work during the contest period will count towards your progress on SplashLearn.
What devices can I use to access SplashLearn content?
All teachers who have registered a SplashLearn Classroom account are participants in this contest. You can use any computer, tablet, or mobile device to access SplashLearn.
How are the points calculated?
There are two ways in which you earn points.
- Core Points

Each correct answer fetches +10 points.

An answer streak of 5 questions fetches +25 points.

An answer streak of 10 questions fetches +60 points.

A correct answer below the grade level of the student fetches +5 points

+20% extra points(on both correct answer as well as streak)

How to unlock characters?

Early Bird Unlocking - First Character is free after enrolment for folks who enroll in the first 2 weeks prior to Springboard 2020 launch.

Each character has a threshold. Characters are reset every week. Every week has character-unlocking basis target points which are done in the following manner

Character 1: 25% of the target

Character 2: 50% of the target

Character 3: 75% of the target

Character 4: 100% of the target

Character 5(Bonus Character) : 125% of the target

Character 6(Bonus Character) : 150% of the target
