How are SpringBoard points calculated?
Key details about how students' scores contribute to the Springboard contest:
Included Scores: Points earned from Math curriculum assignments, Learning Plan practices, and learning games count towards the Springboard contest.
Excluded Scores: Points earned from ELA curriculum assignments, Math facts, daily fact practice, or Multiple-player games do not factor into the SpringBoard contest.
Class Total Calculation: The class total is the average per student, calculated as the sum of all students' scores divided by the total number of students in the class.
Springboard Home Access Bonus Calculation: Home access earns extra points and a +20% bonus on correct answers and streaks.
For Example, a student scoring 50 points in the classroom would earn 60 points for the same performance outside school hours using a parent's username and login (20% bonus).
Why don’t SpringBoard scores update on the leaderboard for the class/student?
The leaderboard displays the total of the best six-week scores, not the cumulative scores. To verify this, check the 'Students Reported' tab, where each week's score is listed. If students haven't outperformed their previous weeks, their total score remains unchanged. The teacher can manually calculate the best six-week scores to verify the scores.
Do students receive points towards SpringBoard when they complete assignments below grade level?
Yes, a correct answer below the student's grade level fetches +5 points. Springboard is part of our regular curriculum program. Once you've enrolled your students in the Springboard contest, it is suggested to assign regular assignments to the students.
