How can teachers assign an assessment? – SplashLearn

The ability to assess student understanding is crucial for teachers to ensure academic growth. Our assessment feature allows teachers to assign tests to the entire class, providing a valuable opportunity to track their progress and adjust teaching strategies accordingly.

Using our simple and user-friendly interface, you can quickly assign assessments to your class and help your students achieve their academic goals.

Start by clicking on the Assess tab and selecting New Assessment.
Select the grade level from the Grade drop-down on the top right corner of the page.
Click on Assess button of the required assessment topic.
Finally, hit the Okay button, and your students will be on their way to mastering the material.

Students can see the assessments assigned by the teacher under the "From My Teacher" tab. Students can visit the SplashLearn website and click the “Log In” button at the top-right corner and log in with the class code and the password. Please be aware that assessments for ELA/Reading subjects are not available in SplashLearn.

We understand the importance of assessing student understanding in ELA/Reading subjects. While SplashLearn offers a wide range of assessments for the Math curriculum. However, we currently do not provide assessments tailored to ELA/Reading.

Additional Notes:

Assessments are assigned to the entire class: It's important to note that when you assign an assessment in SplashLearn, it will be assigned to the entire class. Assessments cannot be selectively assigned to individual students. This ensures a consistent evaluation process for all students.
Mandatory completion of assigned assessments: Once an assessment is assigned to the class, it becomes mandatory for all students to complete it before they can move on to other skills or activities within SplashLearn. This helps ensure that students engage with and complete the assessments, allowing you to track their progress and identify areas for improvement accurately.
Re-assigning an Assessment: An assessment can be reassessed only if all students in the class have completed the initial assessment. Once all students have finished the assessment, you have the option to reassign the same assessment to the entire class for a second round of evaluation. This allows you to track any progress or changes in student understanding and make data-informed instructional decisions.
